Vote rigging in Ohio

Vote rigging in Ohio
this is a net video, runs well. the guy testifying speaks like a genuine programmer, proud to say that he could write election-rigging vote-count-fixing software

"Computer programmer Clinton Curtis testified at the December 13th, 2004 Congressional hearing in Columbus, Ohio naming Republican Congressman Tom Feeney as the person who hired him to prepare vote-rigging software.
The programmer claims that he designed and built a "vote rigging" software program at the behest of then Florida Congressman, now U.S. Congressman, Republican Tom Feeney of Florida's 24th Congressional District.
Clint Curtis, 46, claims that he built the software for Feeney in 2000 while working at a sofware design and engineering company in Oviedo, Florida (Feeney's home district).
..programmer at Yang Enterprises, Inc. (YEI) he was present at company meetings where Feeney was present "on at least a dozen occasions".
Feeney, who had run in 1994 as Jeb Bush's running-mate..
Feeney was also concurrently serving as a Florida state congressman .. now a member of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee.
..Feeney inquired whether the company could build a "vote fraud software prototype".
.."He detailed, in his own words, that; (a) the program needed to be touch-screen capable (b) the user should be able to trigger the program without any additional equipment (c) the programming to accomplish this needed to stay hidden even if the source code was inspected."
Though there was no problem with the first two requirements, Curtis explained to the Congressman that it would be "virtually impossible to hide such code written to change the voting results if anyone is able to review the uncompiled source code"
..Mrs. Yang then told him, "You don’t understand, in order to get the contract we have to hide the manipulation in the source code. This program is needed to control the vote in South Florida."
..Mrs. Yang then took the CD containing the software from Curtis, reportedly for later delivery to Feeney.

...And don't forget the lovely individual who is making those decisions for Bushpig.
Late last October Dr. W. David Hager, a prominent obstetrician-gynecologist and Bush Administration appointee to the Advisory Committee for Reproductive Health Drugs in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), took to the pulpit as the featured speaker at a morning service. he has established himself as a leading conservative Christian voice on women's health and sexuality.
According to exwife Davis, Hager's public moralizing on sexual matters clashed with his deplorable treatment of her during their marriage. Davis alleges that between 1995 and their divorce in 2002, Hager repeatedly sodomized her without her consent.
Sometimes Hager would blithely shift from vaginal to anal sex. Davis protested. "He would say, 'Oh, I didn't mean to have anal sex with you; I can't feel the difference,'" Davis recalls incredulously. "And I would say, 'Well then, you're in the wrong business.'"
Hager's valor in the face of this "religious profiling" earned him the praise and lasting support of evangelical Christians, including such luminaries as Charles Colson, Dr. James Dobson and Franklin Graham, son of the Rev. Billy Graham.

The Large Binocular Telescope will use two 8.408 meter (331-inch), F/1.142 primary mirrors to provide a collecting area equivalent to an 11.8 meter (465-inch) circular aperture. By having both the primary mirrors on the same mounting, the telescope will be able to achieve the diffraction-limited image sharpness of a 22.8 meter aperture.

Saudi Arabia's capacity now stands at about 11 million barrels a day. The Saudis pump about 9.5 million barrels, leaving a cushion of about 1.5 million barrels, mostly of heavier grades not very usable in the West. There is virtually no other global spare capacity.

Col. Larry Wilkerson was Secretary of State Colin Powell's chief of staff throughout Bush's first term. A career soldier, he's also served as director of the U. S. Marine Corps War College. In short, he's anything but a fuzzyminded pacifist.
Last week, Wilkerson gave a speech at the New American Foundation in Washington blaming a secretive " cabal between the vice president of the United States, Richard Cheney, and the secretary of defense, Donald Rumsfeld," for seizing power from an ignorant, intellectually lazy president. They were aided, he said, by "an extremely weak national security adviser" (Condoleezza Rice ), who told Bush whatever he wanted to hear "to build her intimacy with the president."
Another Constitutional breakdown, concerning the separation of powers, occurred in June 2004. More than a year after the Supreme Court decided in Rasul v. Bush that the nearly 600 Muslim men and young boys being held incommunicado at Guantánamo Bay were entitled to have their cases heard by U.S. courts, they remain in cold storage--no lawyers, no court dates. The Bush Administration simply ignored the ruling.
"[Bush's] Justice Department," Dahlia Lithwick wrote in Slate, "sees [the ruling] through the sophisticated legal prism known as the Toddler Worldview: Anything one doesn't wish to accept simply isn't true." Because the Founding Fathers never anticipated the possibility that the nation's chief executive would treat its final judgments with the respect due an out-of-state parking ticket issued to a rental car, the Supreme Court has been rendered as toothless as a gummy bear.

..Col. Zoltan Dani was behind one of the most spectacular losses ever suffered by the US Air Force: the 1999 shooting down of a F-117A stealth fighter.
.The 27 March 1999 hit on the radar-evading plane during the 78-day NATO campaign over Serbia, triggered doubts not only about the F-117s..F-117 was detected and shot down during a moonless night..by a Soviet-made SA-3 Goa (SAM).
"We used a little innovation to update our 1960s-vintage SAMs to detect the Nighthawk," Dani said...It involved "electromagnetic waves,"
..James O'Halloran, editor of Jane's Land-Based Air Defense, said the Serbs were probably able to down the fighter precisely because of their radar system's outmoded technology.
"We know he is telling the truth. ... The F-117 was designed to be stealthy against modern radars. Against old long pulse duration radars, its not stealthy," said O'Halloran. "People in the West do not like to say that."
..two allied aircraft shot down.. The other was an F-16 fighter,..also hit by an SA-3..At least one is said to have ditched into the Adriatic..the alliance never succeeded in knocking out Dani's batteries.
The Serb SAMs.. forcing attacking warplanes to altitudes above 15,000 feet, where they were safe from surface-to-air missiles but far less effective in a ground attack role.
.."The Americans entered the war a bit overconfident..
"At times, they acted like amateurs," Dani said, listing some ways the Serbs managed to breach NATO communications security, including eavesdropping on pilots' conversations with AWACS surveillance planes.
"I personally listened to their pilots' conversations, learning about their routes and bombing plans," Dani said.
Dani said that his unit has had annual reunions on every 27 March since 1999 when a cake in the shape of the F-117 is served.

Delcan NET, a Canadian company, developed the system which triangulates the location of each driver by monitoring the signal sent from the cell phone as it is handed off from one cell tower to the next. Each phone is uniquely identified and the information is compared with a highway map to record on what road each motorist is traveling at any given time. The system also records the speed of each vehicle,

Sudoku program, Marijuana grows brain cells,Belkin Router

ccc
My Sudoku program - executable jar, download from sudo.jar
run like this:
java -jar sudo.jar
the source code is also available on that i8 site.
It doesnt use triples. Indeed very few Sudoka puzzles require doubles, I have yet to find one in a newspaper that requires triples.
ps: There is a lot more to it than this program has, so try angusj for the real deal

..one of marijuana’s active ingredients actually helps produce new brain cells, while apparently reducing anxiety.
..another study has found that marijuana smoke is less carcinogenic than cigarette smoke.
..Journal of Clinical Investigation.. Xia Zhang U Saskatchewan ..rats getting regular doses of an artificial version of a potent marijuana ingredient grew new brain cells faster than other rats.
The new cells grew in the hippocampus.. less anxiety- and depression- like behavior.. November issue.
The second, separate study found marijuana smoke is less carcinogenic than tobacco smoke.
Robert J. Melamede of the U Colorado..although cannabis smoke and tobacco smoke are chemically very similar, evidence suggests that their effects are very different.. Harm Reduction Journal..Monday ..
..cancer-promoting effects of smoke are increased by nicotine, while they are reduced by THC

[nb rats are odd mammals in that they dont self-administer ganja. But then rats as models for behaviour are suspect, since lab rats are all insane from their solitary existance in plastic boxes]

NYT says " U.S. Soldiers Allegedly Burn 2 Dead Taliban" (buried under a Pakistan story!)
..well I saw the footage (Dateline on SBS strikes again!) and the NYT syntax is garbled
There was no "alleged" about the burning.
You might say Alleged US Soldiers or Alleged Taliban, but the flames were sure as hell real...

mirror-worldwhen I read that US troops are blowing up important infrastructure, bridges across the Euphrates, to deny them to the enemy I know that the colaition cannot win this war in Iraq.
mother'n'fuckersWe know the three bridges in and around Haditha have been severed, as well as the bridges out west in Ubaydi. The likelihood is the crossings at Khan al Baghdadi and Hit have been disabled as well... The Coalition now effectively controls [sic] traffic across the Euphrates River...
October 06 2005 at 09:58AM Baghdad - US-led forces have bombed eight bridges on the Euphrates River in western Iraq to stop insurgents using them, US military spokesperson Major General Rick Lynch said Thursday.

Oil exports from Iraq have been completely halted by a combination of attacks and bad weather, reports say.
Four sabotage attacks brought exports from Northern Iraq to a halt on Sunday and officials warned the damage may take a month to repair. The problem worsened on Monday when a pipeline carrying crude to the Turkish port of Ceyhan was hit in an attack.Meanwhile, bad weather has prevented tankers from loading at terminals in the south, Agence France-Presse said.

As for combatting the Taliban, we should stop pretending that is what the Americans are doing. When the deputy governor under the Taliban who oversaw the blowing up of the Buddhas of Bamiyan is sitting in the new parliament, it is hard to see how the large US troop presence even matters any more.
