wikileaks, Howrd, ultrafast broadband

wikileaks
US embassy staff complain that Rudd was too quick to announce, eg anti nuclear bomb policies, without asking them, then complain that Foreign Minister Smith was too slow to support Zioist invasion of Gaza.
- those PESKY wikileaks, ... obviously simultaneously trivial and serious...

I dont know Assange, but with Jemima Khan Ken Loach, John Pilger
Noam Chomsky Mungo MacCallum, Peter Singer, Bob Brown, Jeff Lawrence,
Helen Garner, Max Gillies et al on side he must have something going for him

...Geoffrey Robertson, QC, has cut short his annual summer holiday in Sydney and was flying back to London overnight to represent Mr Assange.

this wikileaks thing is going to run and run:

The DNS, or Domain Name System, is one of the foundational elements of the Internet, responsible for translating the numbers in IP addresses to the more human-friendly names. And Wikileaks has struggled to keep its site up, having to move from Wikleaks.org to Wikileaks.ch to Wikileaks.nl as various countries have put pressure on both local DNS providers as well as on ICANN the international body that manages the registration of top level domains.

There have a number of suggestions recently to address this centralized control, most notably a proposal by Pirate Bay co-founder Peter Sunde to work towards the development of an alternative P2P DNS, one that would be decentralized and distributed. In the meantime, many people are setting up mirror sites for Wikileaks (instructions here and here).

It is also possible to become a full mirror of the contents of the WikiLeaks website. You can find information on how to do this on the WikiLeaks site http://213.251.145.96/mass-mirror and also on any other sites currently mirroring WikiLeaks e.g. http://wikileaks.gooby.org/mass-mirror.
The content is static, and can be securely administered by WikiLeaks themselves. It is currently around 2-3 GB in size.

Jeffrey T Kuhner.. William Kristol (chief of staff for Dan Quayle (hot potatoe!) ... Jonah Goldberg. .. John Hawkins on the Right Wing News ,, have called for assassination,
So I guess that they abjure the rule of law. It follows that if anyone shoots any of them, the survivors would be fine with that.

this guy deserves to be dealt "with a sniper rifle rattle a bullet around his skull the next time he appears in public"

"Sarah Palin, a likely presidential candidate, compares Assange to an Al Qaeda leader; Rick Santorum"
- funny that, I thought that Santorum was "The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex. or 2. Senator Rick Santorum." not an Al Qaeda leader, maybe I misread that

NZ fool joined English Army because he enjoyed killing
Shot dead by a US air 'friendly' fire
- who said irony was dead?

[Howard] told the Capital Times last year that to kill Taleban forces was "an awesome feeling".

From pleading in a senate of rich lords
For some scant justice to our countless hordes
Who toil half-starved with scarce a human right:
I wake from daydreams to this real night.

From wandering through many a solemn scene
Of opium visions, with a heart serene
And intellect miraculously bright:
I wake from daydreams to this real night.
- early Goth poet Francis Thompson (the other one)

NZ to have BroadBand (in some towns) by 2015

what the Govt is calling "ultrafast", which seems to be bog standard fibre ...
"download speeds of 100 megabits per second – about 10 times average speeds available today – for $60 a month plus charges imposed by telecommunications retailers.
Hamilton, Tauranga, Whangarei, New Plymouth and Whanganui and four smaller North Island towns with fibre-optic cable by 2015."
is only 5 years away, if youre lucky enough to live in Hamilton...
