Toumani Diabaté, Sedition, Rabies

\Diabaté has suddenly recorded three new albums, all of them very different.
The first album to be released will be his series of duets with Touré, In the Heart of the Moon, which can already be judged as one of the key African albums of the year.

Funny how fast the night falls, fascism arrives. Founded in anti-refugee racism, we now have the rapid removal of Habeas corpus, presumption of innocence, minimum wage, union representation, free speech. Attacks on the unemployed and disabled begin. Capital commences to discard the fancy wrappings of Rights and Justice.
Rights dont affect me much, my wife is banned from immigrating here, no income prospects, might as well be banged up for sedition, with state food & rent. Not so happy about the torture bit tho...

Paralytic rabies after a two week holiday in India BMJ 2005 331: 501-503
..a woman in her late 30s who was admitted to hospital with shooting pain in her lower back and left leg. Three and a half months earlier, she had been bitten by a puppy on a lead during a two week holiday in Goa. It left a slight graze, but she did not seek medical help, and she had not received a vaccination before travelling. She was diagnosed with rabies and died after 18 days in hospital.
