And while many of their ilk will doubtless have found, in televangelist Pat Robertson's recent proposal that the Venezuelan president be murdered, a course of action with much to recommend it, the odds are that Chavez is relatively safe.

Which means in turn that Jamaica will probably go on getting from Venezuela the preferential oil prices on which this country crucially depends.
