..smaller ..than the small metatarsal of OH8, generally assigned to Homo habilis.
..Sadly, there is no direct comparison to the foot bones of LB1, the skeleton from Flores that started the Homo floresiensis craze...
The Callao MT3 is humanlike in being relatively straight and thinning from proximal to distal, ...estimated length just a hair longer than ..LB1 MT3.
..dating of the site, a mean of 67,000 years ago..uranium-series dating of two cervid teeth in the same stratigraphic unit
...very unlikely to have been deposited as recently as 40,000 years ( age.. occupation of Niah Cave, Borneo
...as I think we'll need to revise much about the timing of dispersal of mtDNA lineages from Africa. And don't forget that mtDNA doesn't tell the important story anymore. [!!!!]

Orbit 1/4 AU period 58 days.. in the habitable zone, if the planet is rocky and has atmosphere and +50% clouds ..

spectrograph Harps ( High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher) to detect wobble.. only reveals the masses Without further info like the size .. Kepler ..measures by seeing the shadows ... or the composition... cannot say for sure whether the Vela planet is made of rock..Kepler will be of no help ... different swath of sky.

HD 85512, or Gliese 370.. orange, 2/3 as massive 1/8 as luminous as our Sun.
