At this point there is still some 51yo white(?) guy holed up on a house in Napier. The body of a cop he shot is apparently still in the street after 24+hours.
This is a massive loss of face for NZ police.

In January the AOS (armed offenders squad) shot a non-white youth dead. Nothing to do with the guy they were chasing, just happened to be nearby and non-white.
Maybe this has inhibited the AOS. Or they could call up grenade launchers and 50mm guns and smoke the guy.
